Organising a Safari can be very daunting for many reasons, and we were lucky enough to find Shaun and his team at Stanley Safari's. He is passionate, knowledgeable and strides to understand yours and your groups needs to tailor, in our case, a one in a lifetime experience!  We were travelling with our parents and our kids and he managed to hand pick and recommend within our budget the most amazing places and itineraries for an unforgettable trip to Zimbabwe. Stanley Safaris organised a trip for my twin sister and me in October last year.   What a trip!  It was fantastic from the first to the last second.    The guides that we had were very knowledgeable and fantastic at spotting animals and birds.

Shaun and his team designed our trip to South Africa like he had known us for years. We were traveling with our 4 year-old and 8 year-old, and they found us the ideal lodging in Cape Town, had great suggestions for what to do while in the city, and even gave us a ride up to Lion's Head to go paragliding. Shaun was absolutely wonderful to work with from beginning to end! He truly listened during our consult call and gave suggestions to make our honeymoon to Tanzania that absolute best. He was attentive and patient during the year of planning, answering every question we had and never hesitating to jump on the phone.

Our trip was better than we ever imagined. The lodging, hospitality, travel transfers, food, sights and experiences were incredible. Shaun truly knows what he is doing and customized our trip exactly for us.

I was asked by friends to organize a safari for them as I had been to Africa several times and this would be there first trip. i researched several safari companies and chose Stanley Safaris. Shaun Stanley was very responsive to my multitude of questions while we put together an itinerary that I felt was best for my friends. My friends and I ended up having a magnificent time on our safari. Shaun stayed in touch with me throughout our trip to make sure things were going well. Well, where do we start. My partner found Stanley Safaris via a quick google search whilst looking to plan our honeymoon to Africa. We had a basic idea of what we were looking for, but after a call with Shaun we started to piece together our trip. Shaun was able to provide some great recommendations for hotels in Cape Town, Franschhoek and in the Sabi Sands, as well as restaurants, day trips and tours. We were in frequent contact in the run up to our trip via Whatsapp (probably spoke to Shaun more often than my friends!) with help and advice on Visas, Covid PCR tests, vaccination and Malaria advise.

We arrived in Cape Town and the hotel Shaun had recommended did not disappoint, the location, view of table mountain, rooms, decor, staff, food was all amazing. Shaun managed to get us into FYN restaurant (#1 in Cape Town) and gave us some other great recommendations too. We booked Cape Point tour which was a great day exploring.

Our Safari Lodge in the Sabi Sands was absolutely insane, we have had some great holidays in some amazing hotels but this was by far the best place we have ever stayed (it is going to be hard to top this one Shaun!). We had high expectations for the safari, but this blew our mind. Again, the location, hotel and room, the pool with daily visits from elephants, the afternoon tea with gin and mojitos ready and waiting for us, the staff were amazing, super friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel so welcome! This was the highlight of our trip, and so glad we took Shaun's recommendation on the lodge (Silvan Safari Lodge is anyone wants to go!).

We missed a connecting flight and got stuck in Keyna for 10 hours - rather than sit in the airport Shaun was in contact and suggested we head out to the Giraffe Centre to make the most out of a bad situation - and this was definitely what we needed, and was a great experience. He also contacted the PCR Covid centre in Johannesburg and gave us a name to ask for - it made it so simple and easy for us.

We genuinely had the most amazing honeymoon and couldn't have wished for a better trip. I will be using Shaun for every trip we now book to Africa and beyond. Spoiler alert for anyone booking with Stanley Safaris - the gift box you receive before your trip is a great little addition, say no more.

I am quite a cautious person when booking a trip, I had never met Shaun other than a quick call (us being based in the UK and Shaun in South Africa), but I felt reassured and was grateful for the frequent contact. 5 stars and wish I could give you more. Shaun and his team sent us on one of the most memorable, exciting, well executed trips of our lives. He listened to exactly what interests us, our vibe and budget and worked out a seamless itinerary. Every leg of the trip was great and all the tour guides, drivers and accommodations were absolutely wonderful. Shaun is always available and checking it to make sure we were happy and comfortable. We can’t wait to book another trip down the road and Of course would us Stanley Safaris.
