No animal is quite so similar to man as chimpanzees and gorillas. A primate safari, focused on witnessing these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat, is one of the most precious encounters you can have. Primate safaris usually focus on the chimps of Uganda and Tanzania, as well as the lowland and mountain gorillas of Congo, Uganda, and Rwanda, but can be designed to include any primates you wish to see.
To us at Stanley Safaris, every safari we create has a meaningful conservation element to it, because we only partner with camps and lodges doing their bit to protect the wild spaces they operate in. But for guests with a special interest in conservation, there are properties across Africa where visitors can get actively involved in the conservation work taking place. Things like rhino notching or joining anti-poaching unit patrols are just some of the incredible initiatives that guests can be a part of.
