We’ll show you how…

Enjoy the Spirit of Africa
Exploring Africa as a family is arguably one of the most magical ways to experience this continent. Watching your children awestruck by wildlife, interacting with people of vastly different cultures, and playing in nature is a memory parents will cherish forever. As parents, we know travelling with children is not always easy, so we go above and beyond to create an itinerary both you and your children will love.
Helicopter Safaris make even Africa’s most remote and inaccessible places within reach for the discerning traveller. Witness an aerial view of Cape Town’s jaw-dropping coastline, stop for champagne picnics on isolated islands in Botswana’s Okavango Delta, or explore the vast, untouched wilderness and flamingo filled lakes of northern Kenya.
Most people first come to Africa for the astounding wildlife, but many agree that they come back for the people. This continent is home to a vibrant patchwork of culture and traditions, with many tribes still choosing to live the way they have for centuries. It is an unforgettable, and often life-changing experience to interact with people from such a vastly different way of life.
A honeymoon safari is arguably one of the most romantic things you can do on earth. Nights filled with thousands of stars, private dining with the sounds of the wild around you, and the tense drama of animal sightings combine to create a sensational romantic experience, perfect for celebrating the start of a life lived together.
For thrill-seekers and horse lovers, a horse-riding safari is the ultimate bucket list experience. Picture the wind in your face and the ground moving beneath you while you canter across open plains with giraffes, or come across a herd of zebras. No activity will get you closer to the wild than experiencing it on horseback.
Africa and its surrounding islands are home to some of the most pristine beaches on earth. We love to combine the thrill of safari with a few days in a tropical paradise – a perfect way to catch your breath and reflect on your experience before making the journey home. Whether you’re after jam-packed activity, or to retreat from civilization and not see a single other person, Africa’s islands and beaches have something for you.
Africa’s vast open spaces, free of the light pollution most of us encounter every day, is the perfect place for some of the best stargazing on earth. But even better than just looking up at the sky, is the opportunity to sleep under the stars, totally uninhibited by canvas or roof. Botswana and South Africa are some of the best places to do this, but sleep-out decks and treehouses are available across Southern and East Africa for those brave enough.
No animal is quite so similar to man as chimpanzees and gorillas. A primate safari, focused on witnessing these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat, is one of the most precious encounters you can have. Primate safaris usually focus on the chimps of Uganda and Tanzania, as well as the lowland and mountain gorillas of Congo, Uganda, and Rwanda, but can be designed to include any primates you wish to see.
To us at Stanley Safaris, every safari we create has a meaningful conservation element to it, because we only partner with camps and lodges doing their bit to protect the wild spaces they operate in. But for guests with a special interest in conservation, there are properties across Africa where visitors can get actively involved in the conservation work taking place. Things like rhino notching or joining anti-poaching unit patrols are just some of the incredible initiatives that guests can be a part of.
