Botswana & Mozambique Honeymoon Safari

Botswana & Mozambique Honeymoon Safari

Days 1, 2 and 3 – Victoria Falls
It is always a good idea to have a relaxing start to your Honeymoon Safari, so we suggest heading to one of the Natural Wonders of the World, the mighty Victoria Falls. There is so much to do in Victoria Falls that can be tailored to suit everyone. Whether you are looking for a heart pumping bungee jump, gorge swing or white-water rafting or looking for something a little more relaxing like an afternoon sunset cruise on the upper Zambezi, we can design your itinerary around your interests and needs. One thing we highly recommend is the scenic helicopter flight over the falls. Our top tip for visiting the falls, is to go as early as possible to avoid the crowds and heat, but it also offers the best light for photographs. The sun rises over Zambia, so it is possible to take photos with a beautiful pink hue in the sky.

Days 4, 5 and 6 – Zarafa Camp, Linyanti Region
From Victoria Falls you head through to Botswana and one of the best wildlife reserves in Botswana, the Selinda Private Concession. The Selinda Reserve is home to exceptional game viewing including lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, elephant, buffalo and so much more. Enjoy morning, afternoon and night game drives as well as walking safaris and sunset cruises on the lagoon in front of the camp. Zarafa Camp is one of the most luxurious camps in Botswana and with only 4 tents and maximum 8 guests, you are guaranteed the privacy you would expect on your honeymoon safari.

Day 7 – Johannesburg
From Selinda you fly to Maun and onwards to Johannesburg for the night.

Days 8, 9, 10 and 11 – Quilalea Private Island, Mozambique
This morning after breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Pemba in Mozambique. From Pemba it is a short helicopter flight to the private Quilalea Island for some well-deserved rest after the excitement of the last few days. Quilalea is the perfect island getaway where you can do as little or as much as you wish. Located on a private island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, Quilalea has pristine beaches, turquoise waters and colorful reefs teeming with tropical fish. Guests at Quilalea can choose from a variety of activities including beach picnic, snorkeling, visits to nearby islands, island walks, sea kayaking, dhow cruising, deep sea fishing and scuba diving. If all of this sounds too strenuous, then why not simply relax on some of the white sandy beaches that surround the island.
