Luxury Kenya Safari
Days 1, 2 and 3 - Samburu National Park
You will be met in Nairobi when you arrive and assisted with your onward flight north to the Samburu National Park for the start of your luxury safari to Kenya. Samburu is an arid reserve that is home to herds of elephants, buffalo, prides of lions and so much more. Spend 3-nights exploring Samburu National Park on morning and afternoon game drives, bush breakfasts, sundowners, camel safaris, walking safaris, fly-camping, quad biking, and helicopter safaris (additional cost). Samburu is an adventure playground but is an extremely rewarding safari destination with incredible game viewing in this arid landscape. The area is home to the “special 5” which consists of the beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, gerenuk, and the Somali ostrich.
The Samburu is home to the proud Samburu people who still live a semi-traditional lifestyle in northern Kenya and guests staying at Sasaab get the opportunity to meet and learn more about the Samburu. Most of the staff at the lodge are from nearby Samburu villages. One of the unique experiences guests can have during their luxury safari to Kenya is a camel ride. The lodge has 4 friendly camels that are looked after by the Samburu herders. One of the highlights is to take a camel ride down the river to the best sundowner spot and enjoy a Gin & Tonic whilst watching the sun dip below the horizon.
Taking a helicopter safari from Sasaab is an incredible experience as it allows you to access remote areas away from the crowds. Day trips can be booked to explore remote northern areas of Kenya including volcanic craters, and soda lakes filled with flamingoes – the possibilities are endless.

Days 4, 5 and 6 - Laikipia Conservancy
From the arid Samburu National Park, you fly south to the Laikipia Conservancy, one of Africa’s most successful conservation stories. Cattle farmers in the area have created a haven for both wildlife and often cattle that live side-by-side. This is also one of the best areas in Africa to see both black and white rhinos in the wild. Situated between the peaks of the Aberdares National park and the snowcaps of Mount Kenya, Laikipia offers a more relaxed safari experience.
Guests staying at Solio Lodge have the luxury of being the only guests on the 45,000-acre ranch and so have the chance to explore without bumping into other guests. Here you can enjoy game drives in search of abundant wildlife which includes lion, leopard, cheetah, zebra, giraffe, plenty of antelope species and so much more, but the real star of the show here is the rhino. This is one of the most successful rhino breeding sanctuaries in Kenya with guests seeing groups of up to 40 rhinos together.
As this is a private reserve, guests have the luxury to enjoy walking safaris, helicopter safaris, horse riding safaris as well as cycling trips.

Days 7, 8 and 9 - Masai Mara
Today you head south to the world-famous Masai Mara for the last few days of your luxury Kenyan Safari. The luxury camp is located on the Sand River and is in one of the prime locations to enjoy game drives inside the Masai Mara. It is also one of the first places the migration comes through as it moves up from the Serengeti.
Between the months of June and October, the great migration moves into the Masai Mara from the Serengeti National park in Tanzania, giving guests a front-row seat to some of the most incredible wildlife spectacles in Africa. Millions of wildebeest and zebra cross the Mara and Sand Rivers to get to the greener grazing on the other side. As they cross the rivers many drown or are eaten by large crocodiles that rely on these feasts to maintain them through the rest of the year.
Even when the migration is not in the Masai Mara, wildlife viewing can be incredible with large prides of lions and cheetah families in abundance.

Day 10 - Giraffe Manor
From the Masai Mara, you fly back to Nairobi where you are met and transferred to the incredible Giraffe Manor for your final night on your luxury Kenyan Safari. The Giraffe Manor is a special, bucket-list hotel where guests have the chance to enjoy breakfast with a herd of giraffes that stick their heads through the large windows.
